Our parents and grandparents lived through the Great Depression, and
we've listened to the stories of hardship and despair. But who knew
that we'd be revisiting similar times today?
Now with reports that the unemployment rate will eventually top 10
percent, the end is near, say some. America’s economic collapse
calls for job reform, nationalism of the financial system, and greener
everything. Yet for many people, this time of doomsday forecasts
provides a unique opportunity to reinvent ourselves – to
reinterpret the American Dream and what it means personally for each of
us and our loved ones.
When I was a young child, my father
would tell me that when things break down, you look at it as an
opportunity to be creative and to decide how to build it back up
again—and make it better, even more incredible than before. That
is what my writing team at Deb Bruce Consulting is doing for 10s of
medical communication and pharmaceutical companies, publishing
companies, health websites, physicians and other healthcare experts,
mass market magazines, and more.
In the midst of the slowdown, we're
working long days creating marketable medical copy to help others
educate patients or clients while also stabilizing their company's
bottomline.
